Run for the Rose

West U Wellness is happy to both sponsor and support Run for the Rose. We will have a team of trained massage therapists giving chair massages during the event.

What is Run for the Rose? Brain cancer will once again meet its match in April as patients, supporters and family members converge for the 15th Annual Run for the Rose on Sunday, April 2, 2017, 8:00 a.m., at NRG Park. Run for the Rose, a certified 5K, supports MD Anderson Cancer Center’s immunotherapy research, new drug development and clinical trials for patients with brain cancer, as well as neuroscience research initiatives and the Pediatric Palliative Care Program at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital. In 2015, the Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation Professorship in Pediatric Neurosurgery was established at McGovern Medical School (formerly UTHealth Medical School). The new Professorship funds cutting-edge research and treatment for children with brain tumors, a cause close to Marnie’s heart.
