Imagine that you have a water hose running from your low back all the way down to your toes. If you pinch that water hose at the top, the water flow will be significantly impaired down at the bottom. This is essentially what happens when the bones shift in the low back causing a “pinched nerve”.
If that nerve happens to be the sciatic nerve, which runs down the back of your thigh and leg, it is called “sciatica”
Chiropractic can gently shift those bones back into position without surgery
The same can be said for hip, knee, and ankle problems. We treat the body as a whole and establish if there is any nerve pinching at the ankle, knee, hip, or low back level that can be inhibiting healing
Deep myofascial release techniques for the low back and leg muscles also helps tremendously
Acupuncture can be an excellent adjunct to more difficult cases

Prevention is a key word --- many doctors will issue medications or cortisone shots that will make your problem feel immediately better, but in reality they are simply a Band-Aid. Recently I decided to attempt the MS150. In addition to daily exercise and specific training classes, I incorporated chiropractic care into my training regime. Dr. Long and her staff helped me immensely in my ability to not only ride IN the MS150 but in COMPLETING it!
Early in November 2003, I awoke one morning and I knew I had to have help. With the greatest of luck I found Dr. Caroline Long. Now my body is getting in alignment, I am sleeping better, having more energy and I am able to do the exercises that I need. Our goal is to heal and strengthen my muscles and body so that I can take the long hikes in the Colorado mountains that I love and enjoy life to the fullest. -
West U Wellness is great. I have had knee problems since high school and would have feel pain and wear knee braces during outdoor activities. With the help of Dr. Ploy, I found out that my pain was due to the way my muscles developed in my thighs and was therefore pulling my knee cap out of place. With a few adjustments, stretches assigned to me, and tape, I no longer need the knee brace and am once again running regularly without pain. Also the offices are also very nice and clean and have a very friendly staff. A++++ will recommend to all my family and friends.
I can't say enough good things about West University Wellness! I am a professional ballroom dancer and torqued my back and neck which left me in constant pain and with numbness and tingling in both hand and feet. I also had chronic issues with my feet and ankles from years of dancing. I was sure that my body had finally had enough and I was going to have to retire. But as it turns out, my body just needed to be properly aligned. I felt relief after the first adjustment and the numbness and tingling in my hands and feet completely resolved. I am now pain free and have no limitations! Thank you so much Dr. Yeager and Dr. Long and the entire staff for your kindness and gentle care.

I had a pain in my foot because of a lot of running. Dr. Aurelie Petitclerc adjusted me and in NO TIME I felt better. I was amazingly surprised how efficient the treatment was. Thank you so much, Aurelie, I will come back for sure.
